Shannon McNeil, LCSW

Shannon is a licensed clinical social worker In Virginia and DC. She earned an MSW from Catholic University. Shannon specializes in anticipatory grief, trauma, bereavement, and attachment. Her approach starts with empathy, patience, and authenticity, and believes integrating the somatic experience is essential in processing trauma. Her methods are informed by attachment theory, narrative therapy, continuing bond theory, and internal family systems. Shannon has years of experience working with individuals processing trauma. She believes in providing space for people to share their stories, to bear witness, and to acknowledge emotions and experiences.
