Jean Bustamante, QMHP-T
Clinical Intern
After finishing her coursework for a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University, Jean joined New Story Behavioral Health to complete her internship as a Qualified Mental Health Professional-Trainee (QMHP-T). She will graduate in May 2025. Jean also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Communications from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
Jean speaks Spanish semi-fluently and is a retired Navy wife. She brings a richness into her work with clients from being a former teacher, wife, and mother. She has also gained insight from her own experience with life changes, grief and loss, family conflict, marriage, questions of faith, and parenting kids of all ages, providing her with a foundation of knowledge that she brings to the counseling relationship.
"Life is sometimes hard. Whether we like it or not, there’s struggle, heartache, sadness, sorrow, and disappointments, all with lessons to learn hidden in them. My heart’s desire is to come alongside you, reminding you that you are not alone and that there is reason to hope! It would be an honor to accompany you along this journey of discovery as you become the best version of yourself."
